DESCRIPTION
Anuket is a substantial 70ft traditional-style narrowboat built by G & J Reeves in 2006, offering four-berth accommodation and having undergone an extensive refurbishment from the base plate upwards. With a modern approach to the interior and a comprehensive programme of renewal, she offers a very different take on the traditional narrowboat.
Entering from the stern, the first area is the engine room, housing the 43hp Beta Marine diesel engine and PRM gearbox. The engine has recently been serviced and a Vetus bow thruster provides additional manoeuvrability. The electrical system has also been completely rewired, incorporating both 12v and 230v systems, landline hook-up and a Victron 3kW MultiPlus inverter/charger.
Moving forward from the engine room is the bedroom, with a permanent small double bed, new mattress and new bench cushions. The interior has been completely re-lined as part of the refurbishment, with new flooring and lighting throughout.
Next is the shower room, which has been completely renewed and features a large full-size shower, sink and Sanimarin macerator toilet connected to a waste holding tank.
Continuing forward, the dining area incorporates a Pullman-style dinette, which can be converted to provide a spare small double berth when required. This contributes to the boat's four-berth arrangement and provides a useful, flexible space for dining and entertaining.
The galley has been completely renewed and features marble worktops, an undercount sink, a DeLonghi four-burner gas hob with cooker and grill, together with an integrated fridge/freezer. The result is a clean and modern cooking space with excellent preparation and storage provision.
Moving further forward into the saloon, Anuket opens into a comfortable living area with a modern, contemporary feel. The interior has been fully re-fitted from the base plate upwards, with new flooring, lighting and a complete renewal of the onboard systems. A Boatman solid fuel stove provides a traditional focal point, while the open arrangement creates a welcoming space in which to relax.
Heating is provided by a Webasto diesel heater, while the hot-water system has been renewed with a twin-coil calorifier and immersion heater.
Externally, Anuket received a full repaint in April 2024, with the hull subsequently blacked in June 2026.
The boat is supplied with a two-year Boat Safety Certificate, together with a hull survey report which is supplied with the boat and is described as being in excellent condition.
Anuket is currently lying at Worsley Dry Dock, Manchester, where viewing is highly recommended.
With her substantial 70ft length, four-berth arrangement and extensive refurbishment, Anuket offers a modern interpretation of the traditional narrowboat, combining a comprehensive programme of renewal with a strong selection of newly installed equipment and systems.
