DESCRIPTION

Desiderata is a 60ft Traditional Stern Narrowboat built in 1974 by Keadby Marine. Propulsion is provided by a BMC 3.8 70hp Diesel Engine.

She is a traditional layout entering from the stern to the engine room. This space has been modified and custom designed by the owner who has made use of all the space well. The stern, though being a traditional narrowboat can seat x4 people with its bespoke seating arrangement that easily folds away. Onto a spacious bedroom with a fixed double bed and large wardrobe with fixed storage. Into an off corridor shower room with a large shower, vanity basin, and a Pump Out WC. Next, the galley fitted with all the amenities for live aboard, and there are x2 Pullman dinettes suitable for family dining, but also convert into single beds. Finally, a large saloon with furniture included and a stove.

Following a recent survey conducted in September 2025, the boat was found to be structurally sound at the time of inspection. However, there has been a recommendation, from a few readings on the baseplate (only), that within the next few years the base plate should be replated. This has been considered within the price asked and the survey is viewable in person for any prospective buyer. The boat was re-blacked before launching back in to the canal and prepped for sale.
