FOX TERRIER

Fox Terrier is a charming 49ft narrowboat built by C.T & P Fox Boat Builders in 2000. With her cruiser stern, reverse layout and accommodation for two, she offers a practical and comfortable platform for enjoying time on the inland waterways, while retaining plenty of traditional character throughout.

Stepping aboard from the cruiser stern, the reverse layout provides a welcoming living area with linear upholstered seating and a Pullman’s dinette. The dinette provides a useful dining space and adds flexibility to the accommodation, while storage is found throughout the vessel.

The interior has a wonderfully traditional, almost “yesteryear” character, with hardwood oak tongue-and-groove throughout. The warm timber finish gives Fox Terrier a particularly homely feel and will appeal to anyone looking for a narrowboat with a more classic character rather than a contemporary fit-out.

Moving through the boat, the galley is equipped with a Vanette four-burner integral hob and cooker, together with a 12v fridge. This provides a practical cooking space for weekends away and longer periods aboard.

The bathroom provides a pump-out toilet, shower and vanity basin.

Towards the accommodation end of the boat is a fixed double bed, providing comfortable sleeping accommodation for two.

Fox Terrier is powered by a Ford XLD 1800 diesel engine driving through a shaft. The boat has shore power together with 12v and 230v electrical systems, a small quasi-wave inverter and a three-battery arrangement comprising one starter battery and two 100Ah domestic lead-acid batteries. There is also a two-panel solar system with controller. Heating is provided by diesel central heating. The last recorded survey was carried out in 2006.

Fox Terrier is currently moored at Fox Marina. A mooring could potentially be available to the new owner, with applications taken in advance and availability subject to a successful application and membership. Mooring availability is therefore not guaranteed.
