Nuts & Volts is a 36ft Springer narrowboat. It presents an excellent opportunity for a buyer looking for a compact and affordable vessel that has already benefitted from substantial investment and refurbishment. Significant works have been carried out by the current owner, including the installation of new pram and cratch covers, double-glazed windows, a new boiler supplying instant hot water, and a comprehensive electrical upgrade. Entering from the stern, a narrow corridor leads forward past a practical utility area, providing useful storage and service space. Adjacent is an off-corridor shower room, fitted with a Thetford cassette toilet and shower facilities.

Moving forward, the galley is equipped with a twin-burner gas hob and benefits from the recently installed hot water system, creating a practical space for day-to-day living aboard.

Propulsion is provided by a reliable Lister 2AC diesel engine, with a new propeller fitted in 2025. The hull has previously been replated, while the interior was completely stripped back and treated for rust before refurbishment commenced.

The electrical system has been significantly upgraded and includes two 500w solar panels, an EcoFlow power station, Victron 12v battery charger, and a domestic battery bank comprising three 100Ah LiFePO4 lithium batteries. A separate starter battery is maintained via an independent solar charging system. The owner advises that all electrical systems are fully operational and provide ample onboard power for extended off-grid use.

The boat will require blacking in 2027 and the Boat Safety Certificate is due for renewal later this year. The current owner estimates that approximately £2,000–£3,000 of finishing work remains, presenting an opportunity for a purchaser to complete the boat to their own taste and specification.
