R G BARGE G

R G Barge G is a 50ft narrowboat built by Liverpool Boats in 2017, offering a contemporary interpretation of the traditional narrowboat. With her semi-traditional stern, mid-traditional layout and accommodation for two, she provides a comfortable and inviting space for enjoying life on the inland waterways.

Stepping aboard, the first impression is of a clean, open and thoughtfully finished interior. The fit-out takes the traditional narrowboat as its starting point but gives it a more contemporary feel, with warm timber finishes, an open layout and plenty of natural light through the generous windows.

The galley provides a practical and attractive cooking space, with a four-burner integral hob and cooker, 12v fridge and good worktop and storage provision. The galley sits conveniently within the main living area, making it a sociable space when spending time aboard.

Moving through into the main saloon, the open design continues with linear bulkhead upholstered seating and a dinette, together with two narrowboat swivel chairs. This creates a comfortable area for relaxing, dining or simply watching the world go by while cruising. Storage is provided throughout the boat, helping to keep the living spaces uncluttered and practical.

Further aft is the sleeping accommodation, with a fixed double bed. The bedroom continues the clean and contemporary styling found throughout the vessel while providing a comfortable private space for two.

The bathroom is equipped with a Thetford cassette toilet, shower and vanity basin, providing everything required for comfortable cruising.

R G Barge G is powered by a Barrus Shire diesel engine driving through a shaft. The boat benefits from shore power and both 12v and 230v electrical systems, together with an inverter. The electrical system is supported by one starter battery and three 110Ah domestic lead-acid batteries, while a large solar panel with MPPT control provides additional charging capability.

Heating is provided by a Boatman solid fuel stove, adding both warmth and a traditional focal point to the interior.

R G Barge G is currently moored at Worsley Cruising Club. Applications are taken in advance and a mooring could potentially be available to the new owner following a successful application and membership. Mooring availability is therefore not guaranteed.
