ROSE of SHARON

Rose of Sharon is a 40' Cruiser Stern Narrowboat built in 1966 by Norbury Cutlass & David Piper Boats. The fitout has been recently re-done by its very capable and only second ever owner of over 30 years onboard. Propulsion is provided by a Lister SR2 diesel engine. 

The galley of the boat is more than equipped for weekends away with the family, and can be easily added to if liveaboard amenities are desired. There are cupboards underneath both sides of the worktop. On to the saloon fitted with a Boatman stove. there is L-shape seating which can be converted in to large double bed. An off-corridor shower wet room benefits from a large shower, Thetford WC and a vanity basin. The master cabin is to follow. Again, another sleeping arrangement can be converted with ease to a bed. There is storage and this leads on to the hardwood bow doors taking you on to the large Tug-Style bow of the boat that used to house the integral water tank, as it is now fitted with plastic tanks.

The boat was lifted out of the water in 2022 and the hull was pressure washed. Following a hull survey in the same year of 2022, she was considered to be in exceptional condition for a boat of it's age. The boat has been replated, maintained and well observed and looked after for many years. She was blacked and given plenty of time to settle before relaunching along with four new anodes that were also fitted also in 2022.
