SLOOP JOHN B

Sloop John B is a 40' traditional stern narrow beam built in 1982. Propulsion is provided by a 35HP BMC 1.5 diesel engine. Featuring a traditional layout.

On entry to the engine/utility room and bedroom. The engine is housed by a cleverly crafted access box and steps made from old gym flooring. There is an optional pop-up put-together bed for someone to make a sizeable single bed. Next is the walkthrough bathroom, fitted with a large hip bath with shower attachments, Thetford Cassette WC, and a vanity basin. Into the saloon, the sofa bed is included. A brand new Hamlet solid fuel stove provides the heating and there is brand new diesel-fed central heating throughout the boat via x3 radiators. Finally, into the walkthrough galley, fitted with a brand new gas oven, grill, 4-burner hob, 12v Fridge with freezer compartment, and a sink. A side hatch is just before this on the vessel's starboard side and provides additional light and traditional features. A sizeable bow housed by a new cratch cover provides storage and an optional social area onboard.

The boat benefits from survey history. Last done in June 2024, this can be viewed in person. Recent blackings from June 2024 and the anodes have also been replaced. She has been prepared for brokerage beautifully by the current owner after being newly repainted.
